Special Needs Registry Helps in Emergencies
NJ residents with special needs are encouraged to add their personal information to the Special Needs Registry. The information provided will be shared with emergency response agencies so that responders will be better equipped to serve registrants in the event of an emergency or evacuation in their area. No one else will have access to the information.
To keep this registry current, registrants are required to update their registration information each year.
To learn more about this program and register online, click here. Need help registering? Dial 2-1-1 and a representative will assist you in the registration process.
This program is active in all counties except Hunterdon which is expected to be activated in the summer of 2010, and the counties of Bergen and Hudson, where county orientation meetings are still pending.
