Create a Directory From Your Search Results
You can now make a customized directory from the search results you obtain when using the NJ 2-1-1 Resource Database. By logging in to our PowerUsers edition using the same login and password as you have used in the past you'll gain access to this new, and long-awaited functionality.
The next time you are ready to initiate a search that provides results
you'll want to save, print, or share with others, try the following:
Go to our PowerUsers site. (This "directory creating" functionality is only available at our PowerUsers site.)
Sign in using the same login and password you set up when you registered with NJ 2-1-1. (If you haven't done that yet, you can follow the links on the site to register before going any further. We promise - it only takes a minute.)
Then initiate a search by clicking on the words "Search Now".
Click on the "Show Results Options" button at the top of the page.
Modify the results to suit your needs. You can select specific entries you wish to include in the directory by checking the box to the left of each entry listed. (Scroll down to see your list if it is not readily apparent.) In the third column at the top of the page, entitled "Use The Results", choose between printing the "entire result set" or "only the checked programs" and then click on the "Create Directory" button. This will open a window that will enable you to set up how the listing in your directory will be organized and create a cover page if you desire.
Create Your PDF by clicking on the "Create PDF" button at the bottom of the page. (Some computer software will then open a message which asks if you want to keep the PDF. Click "Keep" and the document will open. You can then save it to your computer and print it as you see fit.)
