More Online Resources to Inform and Educate
If you have read the NJ 2-1-1 Housing Section in its entirety you now understand what subsidized housing is and how it works; you've become familiar with housing assistance programs that are available in our state and you have learned a bit about the resources created to address specific populations.
For the most up-to-date information on available and affordable housing in your community, use the NJ Housing Resource Center, an online service that provides information on current listings in towns throughout the state. If you do not have regular access to a computer, or if you are having trouble navigating the NJHRC site, dial 2-1-1 and our resource specialists will help you find appropriate resources.
If you think you may be eligible for Section 8 housing, contact the housing authority in your area.
