ACS support at the Soldier and Family Support station at the SRP site includes: individual readiness assessment, Family Care Plan review and assistance, information and follow-up, and individual information mailing to next of kin.

The Family Programs office is designed to answer the questions a spouse may have. It can be a valuable source of information for all family members. The site provides an overview of military benefits and how to access them, identifies eligibility requirements associated with some entitlement, and, most importantly, lets you know where you can obtain assistance when you have specific questions and problems. Knowing your benefits and how to access them will help you plan for when your spouse or family member is away performing military service.

NJ Family Assistance Centers
The Family Assistance Centers help family members of a National Guard or Reserve Soldier; Marine, Airman, or Sailor on active duty. These centers can assist with Identification Cards, TRICARE and dental issues, and also provide emergency referral and assistance with financial and legal issues. Each Family Assistance Center is trained to help families get the support and information they need, as quickly as possible, while lending a sympathetic ear to those in need of one.

Additional Services that May Help
NJ Helps
The NJHelps Web site offers a free and easy questionnaire that can be used to determine the programs and services for which you and your family may be eligible. The online form prompts you to answer a few questions about your household, income, and expenses. All the answers are anonymous and can never be linked to you. The typical session lasts 5 to 15 minutes depending on how many people live with you. Once you have completed the questionnaire you will receive information on programs and services for which you are eligible. The Web site provides information on application locations as well as details on what you will need to bring with you when you apply.
NJHelps also supplies contact information and links to valuable resources available throughout the State. You will learn about eligibility guidelines for programs like food stamps, child care assistance, TANF and a host of other programs listed below.To begin the screening process click here. You are encouraged to dial “2-1-1” 24 hours a day, seven days a week if you need help in understanding and finding available assistance services. Language translation and TTY services are offered to any caller. You can also search our database for services in your local community or Chat Live with an experienced community resource specialist. 2-1-1 will help identify with you the best local resources to fit your individual needs during times of financial distress or for life’s everyday situations.
