2-1-1 is a growing national model. United Way of America (UWA) strongly supports federal funding so that every American has access to this essential service.

United Way
Local United Ways throughout New Jersey provide financial support to the 2-1-1 Call Center covering their community.

2-1-1 Call Centers
The NJ211 Partnership has developed a model to fully support a statewide system designed to connect people in need of assistance with service providers who can help, while adhering to standards and procedures that focus on compassionate concern and a client-driven response.

State of New Jersey
The State of New Jersey provides our lead source of funding, matching the initial investments made by the United Ways. 2-1-1 is working closely with the NJ Department of Human Services and the Office of Homeland Security. Human Services has integrated into the 2-1-1 database its e-service directory to make state government programs and services easier to access. Homeland Security is working with 2-1-1 to promote preparedness and strengthen emergency response in times of crisis.


Verizon
Verizon New Jersey, Inc. is our lead collaborator, technologically. They assisted in securing the necessary approvals from the Board of Public Utilities and have provided technological knowledge and assistance in constructing the platform upon which 2-1-1 is built statewide.

The Verizon Foundation
The Verizon Foundation is also a committed and active supporter of 2-1-1. Grant funding has helped to maximize the value and utility of 2-1-1 by insuring that all who live and work in the state have access to a state-of-the-art database of information that is the most comprehensive and up-to-date.
