Service Description:

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey serves frail and homebound elderly who reside in Freehold and Howell and are no longer capable of driving. Volunteers provide services to clients that include:

- Medical transportation
- Grocery shopping
- Friendly/pet visits
- Telephone reassurance
- Respite care for families caring for loved ones with chronic illness, Alzheimer's, or dementia

Many volunteer opportunities are available in all programs.

None

Eligibility:

Open to Freehold and Howell residents, ages 60 and older, who are no longer driving. There are no income eligibility requirements to receive services.

For volunteers, there is no minimum number of hours required. Volunteers younger than 18 should volunteer with a guardian or adult supervisor.

Application Instructions:

Clients are asked to schedule an in-home personal data intake and to register for services. All volunteers must participate in an 1.5 hour orientation, undergo a background, and drivers license check. Please call for more information.
