Service Description:

The Center for Independent Living of South Jersey provides services for the disabled population so that they have the opportunity to actively participate in society. Services include:

- Information, referral, and advocacy services (including housing, financial assistance, accessible care, attendant care, and social activities)
- Training in daily living skills
- Peer counseling
- Project STEP (Self- Advocacy Training Empowering People)
- Special Education students: ages 14 to 21
- Support groups for the disabled and visually impaired
- Assistance in obtaining ramps, hearing aids, and other types of equipment
- Tutoring and literacy services (youth and adult)
- Basic computer concepts
- Adult Basic Education (ABE) in the areas of math, reading and written communication
- GED examination preparation




Open to those with a disability or family members of someone with a disability.
