Agency: Victim Services Center of Montgomery County (VSC)
Service Description:

Educational programs are available for children, adults, and seniors to help increase safety and reduce the risk of crime in school and the community. The goal of the risk-reduction program is to increase awareness and communication for students, professionals, and parents. Through the program:

- Students are educated to become aware of the issues facing them and what they can do to protect themselves
- Professionals (law enforcement, medical, community centers, teachers, etc.) learn how to become comfortable with their role in the process
- Parents are taught how to confidently communicate these issues with their children

By educating both children and adults, VSC strives to create a safe society free from violence. In addition, VSC offers senior safety programs for at-risk older adults to increase their safety awareness.

Risk-reduction/safety education programs are available free of charge to Montgomery County residents from pre-K through college and at-risk elderly.
