Sandy Relief Home Access (SRHA) Program

Service Description:

The Sandy Relief Home Access (SHRA) Program provides funding for accessibility ramps, stair glides, or vertical platform lifts to residents whose homes were damaged in Superstorm Sandy. Stair glides and lifts are only available in situations for which ramps are not deemed feasible.

Eligibility:

Applicants may be eligible for the SRHA Program if they:
1) Are a resident of New Jersey
2) Have a permanent physical disability that requires home to be accessible (physicial certification required)
3) Primary residence sustained damage from Superstorm Sandy, (October 29, 2012)
4) Maximum RREM/LMI Program Grant Award of $150,000 with a verified unmet need
4) Applicant does not have another accessible entrance to their home

Application Instructions:

Call or email for information. Must provide proof of home ownership, proof of loss as a result of Superstorm Sandy, and physician certification of need for home accessibility.
