Foster Grandparent Program

Service Description:

The Foster Grandparent Program enables volunteers, ages 55 and over, to remain physically and mentally active by partnering them with children with special needs. Volunteers are trained to work with children in order to improve their physical, mental, emotional and social development. Children in the program range from ages 0 through 12.

Eligibility:

Open to older adults, age 55 or older, have an income less than $21,000/year, pass background checks, and provide finger prints for this federal government program.
