Family Caregiver Support Program provides financial assistance and limited reimbursement to caregivers who help pay for supportive services for family members, ages 60 and older. Financial assistance can be obtained for personal care services, temporary respite, and over the counter medications and supplies.
Income-eligible families may receive from $200 to 500 per month to help with out-of-pocket expenses. In addition, one-time grants of up to $2,000 may be give to qualified families to modify the home, purchase assistive devices or consumable supplies to accommodate elderly relatives. Approved adaptations might include installing a stair glide, a wheelchair ramp or modifying a bathroom.
