Camp Rainbow uses a thematic approach for its' weekly activities. For adolescents, the program involves them in daily living activities designed to help them better work independently as well as develop confidence and self-esteem.
Camp Sun-N-Fun offers children and adults with developmental disabilities an opportunity to participate in and enjoy summer recreational activities. Camp Sun-N-Fun provides opportunities to make new friends, opportunities to develop independence and opportunities to gain self-esteem through success in fun activities such as nature appreciation, arts and crafts, sports and games, music and dance, themed parties and much more. Monmouth County Park System provides accommodations for individuals with disabilities (who meet minimum eligibility requirements-with or without accommodation-documented for the specific program) to participate in regular Park System programs. Camp Star is offered 4 weeks in August. This is a safe, structured environment for children and teens ages 3 to 21 years old with special needs and their siblings.
